What Now?
After the election, I said to the Lord, “Lord, You have sent shock waves throughout the Christian community.”
The Lord answered me, “Well, you have been asking Me to wake you up.”
I told Him, “Yes, but Lord, this is truly a rude awakening.”
Yes, the result of this election has
definitely caused an awakening to ripple throughout the Body of Messiah. The
shock waves have entered into our spirit, yet even in the midst of this the
church will rise up and become a force to be reckoned with in the realms of
darkness. The Lord says that the Church will take up the challenge.
He will give us what we need to make
this happen. He will put into us a new resolve, a greater focus, and a tenacity
that will not be moved. This will cause the enemy to wish the election had not
turned out as it did because of the growth that is going to take place in the
Body of Messiah. The Lord says that the transformation of His people will be
phenomenal. He will give to us the oil of joy for our mourning, beauty for the
ashes, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. We will not even
feel like the same people.
What about those who stood for the
heart of the Lord in the election and voted for Life? He said that the fruit of
our prayers was not in the naming of the President but will be established and
will manifest in other ways. He said that those who interceded and made the
right choices just got shot up levels in the spirit. He said that He is proud
of us. We made Him smile. He invites us to come and stand under the waterfall
of His pleasure.
We must not stop in the intercession,
though. The Lord said that He has drawn a line in the sand. He said that Obama
will need intercession because he will not be able to handle the devastation
that comes as a result of a nation that has separated itself from its God.
So it is not time to look down but
look up. I am ready to see the church grow into maturity. The Lord has need of
this and all of creation has been waiting and groaning for it to happen. The
Lord said for us to look and focus at what we have instead of what we do not
have. We need to understand the magnamity of what is going on in the spirit. We
are not alone. ALL of heaven is involved in this intercession.
The Lord Himself is overseeing it all, but even the great cloud of witnesses is
involved. The angels are involved. We are not limited by only what is on
earth. We are all working together for the purposes of God.
Intercession is a gift given to us by the Lord. It shoots us like an arrow right
into the heart of God so we can experience and feel what God, the Creator of the
Universe is feeling and experiencing. What an honor and privilege! What a
gift!! We can accept this gift and use it as the last day’s tool that He is
giving it to us for, or we can reject it and fail. Intercession is the vehicle
that will cause change. Intercession is a gift given to us by God. Without
intercession we are all destined to stay as we are without change. The world we
live in is destined to stay as it is without change.
The gift of
intercession releases mercy. Mercy is our only hope. Mercy changes paths,
paths of people, of nations, globally and individually. Intercession provides a
way for the gap to be filled. The Scripture says that God wondered that there
was no intercessor. That is one thing He should not have to wonder about. It
should come as natural to us as breathing.
Yeshua is the
great intercessor. He is already interceding before the Father. All we have to
do is agree with Him and what He is already interceding for. Intercession helps
us feel His heart by bringing us in contact with His emotions concerning an
object of prayer whether it is a person, a people group, a nation, whatever it
is. Intercession is God’s heart being acted out. It is the releasing of His
emotions into the atmosphere so change
can happen. So don’t delay, don’t wait
to intercede. All of heaven is waiting on us!!
