The
Biblical Tallit is the most authentic garment we produce if you are
looking for exactly what was worn anciently. Whereas the tunics and
hand-woven Tallit Katan are designed for a pants wearing public, the
Biblical Tallit can be worn either with pants or over the Haluq (a
bell dress style garment that anciently served as our undergarment,
very similar to what is worn today in traditional muslim countries, in
Arabic known as a Galibiyah).
Available with a natural off-white body and any color stripe pattern you desire, or totally dyed body and stripes. Our most popular color pattern is the colors of the Priestly Garments, with a stripe pattern in royal blue, violet and a touch of crimson against an off-white body, however, on this garment we will custom design a color pattern for you. Please feel free to contact us with your requirements. All Biblical Talliths include a rope sash, Tzitzith and Techelet. We recommend dry cleaning on Hand-woven garments. If you need to wet wash it, place it in the bathtub and wash with Woolite, and spread out on a towel to dry. Never hang wet hand-wovens, they will take on the strangest shapes.
