The Season for Holy Assemblies

March 22, 2000

For many days now, I've been seeing being played on my mind the scenes taken
from two events which took placed in the Old Testament. One was the time
when King Solomon brought the ark to the temple and the second  was when
Ezra and God's people were gathered together in prayer.

THE ARK BROUGHT TO THE TEMPLE

Then Solomon summoned to Jerusalem the elders of Israel, all the heads of
the tribes and the chiefs of the Israelites families, to bring up the ark of
the Lord's covenant from Zion, the City of David. And all the men of Israel
came together to the king at the time of the festival in the seventh month.
(2 Chronicles 5:2-3)

The Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in front of the whole
assembly of Israel and spread out his hands.  (2 Chronicles 6:12)

" Now arise, O Lord God, and come to your resting place, you and the ark of
your might. May your priests, O Lord God, be clothed with salvation, may
your saints rejoice in your goodness. O Lord God, do not reject your
anointed one. Remember the great love promised to David your servant." (2
Chronicles 6:41-42)

When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the
burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the
temple. The priests could not enter the temple of the Lord  because the
glory of the  Lord filled it. When all the Israelites saw the fire coming
down and the glory of the Lord above the temple, they knelt on the pavement
with their faces to the ground, and they worshipped and gave thanks to the
Lord, saying, " He is good; His love endures forever." (2 Chronicles 7:1-3)

EZRA AND THE PEOPLE GATHERED TOGETHER

On the twenty-fourth day of the same month, the Israelites gathered
together, fasting and wearing sackcloth and having dust on their heads.
Those of Israelite descend had separated themselves from all foreigners.
They stood in their places and confessed their sins and the wickedness of
their fathers. They stood where they were and read from the Book of the Law
of the Lord their God for a quarter of the day, and spent another quarter in
confession and in worshiping the Lord their God. (Nehemiah 9:1-3)

PRESENT DAY APPLICATION

The time is coming and the time is near when the Spirit of the Living God
will once more began moving in the midst of His church and among His people.
Many of the gatherings that will be taking place in our midst in the coming
days will be in the type of the two gatherings above. It will contains times
of celebration and times of confessions.

The atmospheres of these gathering will not be directed by men but the Holy
Spirit will moved in the hearts of people and will overshadow them at all
point. We cannot manufactured or planned the flow of the Lord, but it will
be made manifest clearly in the midst of the people.

Many times we will start in the usual manner that we have been accustomed
too. But suddenly in the midst of these gathering, the Holy Spirit will just
take over and take charged of everything from there on.

THE PREPARATION IS COMING TO AN END

In the past years and months, the Holy Ghost has been moving silently and
quietly and doing His work of preparation and cleansing in the hearts of His
people (His temples) and many have yielded themselves to Him. Now the time
for these great Holy Assemblies are about to come. The Holy Spirit is about
to take over our gathering in a way that will astound many.

Let us continue to press on to the Lord, let us allow the Holy Spirit the
freedom to finished what He has started in our lives, in our families,  in
our churches, in our cities.

The time is near, the season is now.

Come Gracious Father, pour down your glory in our midst.
Come Lord Jesus, we longed for you.
Come Holy Spirit, take your place in our midst.

Awaiting for that time,
