The Parable of The Wind and Sun
February 23, 2000
Dear Brethren,
Today while praying and waiting on the Lord, He reminded me about the
parable of the wind and the sun and with that He put this message which is
for me first of all and I believe for all of us beloved children of the Most
High.
THE PARABLE OF THE WIND AND SUN
One day wind and sun saw a man walking and they both decided to have a
contest to see who is stronger. The agreed that the one who can cause the
person to take off his cloak will be declared the stronger one. So the wind
blew and blew on that man, but instead of taking off his cloak, he draw it
closer to him until finally wind give up. Than it was sun turn, he began
shining his bright and warm light upon that man, and slowly as the
brightness of the sun grow brighter, he began to unloosen his cloak and
ultimately removed it.
THE LESSON OF THE PARABLE
The Lord impress to me that the enemy has started to blow his wind on the
church. He will blew and blew at us until we will withdraw from one another.
But God is showing us that we have a weapon, and that is the warmth of God's
love resident in all of us His children. We need to let that light shine
more brightly in our life. We must not allow the wind to cause us to
withdraw from one another but let the love of God draws us to each other.
We are one body in Him, together we stand, divided we will fall. We are not
to compromised God's truth, but we must always seek to love and accept each
other's shortcoming and differences.
God has given us many spiritual weapons that can destroy spiritual
strongholds and one of the weapon is love. Let us sharpen that weapon today.
For love covers a multitude of sin.
GOD'S WORD
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be
called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does
not know us is that it did not know Him.
This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one
another.
Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in
truth. This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set
our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God
is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. ( 1 John 3:1,11,18)
PRAYER:
Father, we pray that today you pour out anew your love unto our hearts.
Bless your people this day with a special bonding that will astound the
world and may the world see us because of the love that we have for one
another.
Blessings to you all
